The Details

The Devil is in the details
Whatever one does should be done thoroughly; details are important.
On the flip side, God is in the details.

K N I T

I am a relatively new knitter in knitting years. I am not new to the fibre world. I spent most of my teen years behind a sewing machine. In college along with going to parties I studied clothing and textiles. I have always had a fibre bug. I love the textures, drape and the colors. Knitting entered my world around 2006 during an emotionally troubling time and has become one of my driving forces to help me stay in balance today. Some may call it therapy I call it fun.

Knitting has changed how I spend the bulk of my days and many nights. You could say it is what I do to have fun. Hanging out with my knitting friends in coffee shops, going to knitting conferences or traveling to a special knitting store. The fun does not begin and end with knitting needles it seeps into all parts of ones core and becomes a part of your identity. I guess it is an addiction and some call it fibre crack. Astoundingly it has opened up beautiful doors to numerous and alternative creativity.

This addiction must be feeding the creative soul in a positive way.  This is an exciting time to bring together all the crafts that I enjoy. I feel like my eyes are once again wide open to where do we get inspiration what motivates us to create. Knit – Fun – Create is not just for knitters. It is for everyone that is looking or is growing their creative self. This blog is here to inspire and share the things in life that make you turn your head, perk up your ears, say ah-ha and feed those creative molecules that lurk within.
